Privacy and your clips
Your clips, your call
What happens to your clips and your details in StumpSage’s closed beta, in plain words. No analytics, no ads, nothing sold, and you can delete it all.
In short
- Your clips are stored and analysed on StumpSage’s own server. Only you and StumpSage’s coaches, who check analyses, see them.
- Cloudflare carries the connection. No other company is involved: no analytics, no ads, no outside AI.
- Delete any analysis, or your whole account, whenever you like.
- Backups are kept for 7 days. At the end of the beta, everything is deleted.
- The beta is for adults (18+) with an invite.
Who this covers
Testers in StumpSage’s closed beta, on this website and in the StumpSage Beta Android app: the same account and the same server.
The beta is for adults only. Whoever invites you confirms you are 18 or older, you confirm it again when you join, and a date of birth under 18 is refused.
The demo analysis needs no account. It is a licensed stock clip that comes with the site, and you don’t sign in or give any details to watch it.
What StumpSage keeps
- Your name and mobile number
- Your invite is made out to them. You sign in with the number, and you can change your name on your account page.
- About you
- Your date of birth (to check you are 18 or older, and for your age group), batting hand and bowling arm; and, if you give them, your bowling style and height.
- Your clips
- Each video you upload, with what you said about it (who was bowling, where the camera was, the bowling arm and, if you gave it, a height) and the file’s own details, such as its length, frame rate and size.
- What the analysis makes
- The tracked body positions, the key moments and measurements, key frames and overlays, the coach’s check and, once a coach approves an analysis, its reels.
- Coach reviews
- If you ask a StumpSage coach to review a clip: your question and their review.
- Where you’re signed in
- Each device you’re signed in on, named only by its browser and system (for example, Chrome on Android).
- An audit log
- Which account did what and when, with the request’s IP address, as India’s data protection law expects. Once an account is deleted, its entries no longer lead to a person.
- In your browser
- Your sign-in tokens, so you stay signed in; your first name and your account’s id, for the top of the page; and the height you last entered, to offer it again. While a clip uploads, this tab also keeps how far it got, with the file’s name, size and date, so a reload can pick it up again; that goes when you close the tab. Signing out, or deleting your account here, clears all of it from the browser.
The site sets no tracking cookies and loads nothing from other companies: even its fonts come from StumpSage’s server. The server’s logs leave out your IP address, invite codes, sign-in tokens, links to shared reels and the contents of your records.
Where it lives
On StumpSage’s own server: a single computer that StumpSage runs itself, in the home of the person who runs the beta, not in a rented cloud. Your clips, the database and the backups are on its disk, and the analysis runs on it too, so your clip isn’t sent to another company to be analysed.
Clips leave the server only to come back to you, or to a StumpSage coach checking your analysis, through links that expire after 15 minutes.
Who sees it
- You
- Your clips, analyses and reports.
- StumpSage’s coaches and the people who run the beta
- They see your clips and analyses, to check them, and they look after accounts, deleting one when its owner asks.
- Cloudflare
- Cloudflare carries the connection between you and the server, so the server never has to take connections straight from the internet. Cloudflare can see the traffic as it passes through its network, but clips are marked so that it keeps no copies.
- Nobody else
- No SMS or push-notification company, no outside AI service, no analytics and no ads. Your data is never sold.
How long it’s kept
Your clips and analyses stay until you delete them, or StumpSage does. At the end of the beta, everything is deleted, the audit log included.
Backups (a copy of the database and of the files, made every night) are kept for 7 days, so anything you delete is gone from them within a week. They are kept on the same server.
Deleting your data
- One analysis
- From My analyses. It deletes the analysis with its clip and every file made from it: the video, its thumbnail, the analysis data, key frames, overlays, reels and posters, and any unfinished upload.
- Your whole account
- From your account page: your account and every clip, analysis and review. This browser forgets you too, and it can’t be undone.
- By message
- Reply to the WhatsApp message your invite came in and StumpSage deletes your account for you.
The files go first. If they can’t be deleted, nothing is deleted and you can try again, so a deletion never half-happens.
Body Load and sharing
Body Load measurements are injury-risk indicators: guidance, not a diagnosis. They never appear in a shared reel, and they go into a PDF only when you switch them on for that export.
Your rights
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the right to know what StumpSage holds about you and how it is used, to have it corrected or erased, to have a complaint dealt with, and to name someone to act for you if you can’t. For any of these, reply to the WhatsApp message your invite came in. You can delete your clips and your account yourself at any time, as above.
StumpSage collects only what the beta needs, keeps it no longer than the beta, and does no behavioural tracking or targeted advertising of anyone.
